Modern houses and interiors

About Us
At Daniel Martinez Design Studio, we are a team of designers who see every space as a story waiting to be told. We mix architecture, light, and natural textures to create interiors that feel personal and alive. Each project begins with listening — to how people live, dream, and move — so every detail reflects real comfort and beauty. Our mission is simple: to craft timeless spaces that feel like home from the very first step inside.
Eixample Loft
2024, Barcelona — A light‑filled Mediterranean loft with soft plaster walls, light oak and travertine, black steel windows, and calm neutral textiles. The layout flows from a serene living room to an open kitchen and dining nook; daylight and warm indirect lighting shape a quiet, contemporary atmosphere with tactile, natural finishes.
Art Deco Apartment
2022, New York — Renovation of an Art Deco–inspired apartment: geometric cornices and coffered ceilings, walnut veneer and fluted paneling, brass accents, marble, and smoked glass. Deep emerald and wine tones in the textiles, graphic lighting, symmetry, and rich textures evoke the glamour of the 1930s within a contemporary layout.
Brutalist Penthouse
2025, London — A brutalist-style penthouse with exposed concrete, oiled oak, and blackened steel. Monolithic volumes, low-slung furnishings, a graphite-and-sand palette with bronze accents, sculptural lighting, and panoramic city views create a restrained yet warm atmosphere.
Mid‑Century Desert Villa
2021, Palm Springs — A single-story villa in a mid-century modern spirit: panoramic glass façades opening to the patio and pool, terrazzo and concrete floors, teak and walnut furniture, decorative breeze blocks, geometric lighting, and a warm palette of ochre, sage, and sand. The easy indoor–outdoor flow and crisp graphic lines create a relaxed desert atmosphere.
Haussmann Chic Apartment
2023, Paris — Restoration of a Haussmann apartment: historic moldings, a fireplace, and French herringbone (chevron) parquet paired with contemporary lighting, light marble, and brass. A soft palette of ivory with smoky-blue accents, tall doors, and symmetry evokes the airy, elegant mood of a Parisian salon.
Scandinavian Lake House
2024, Stockholm — A minimalist lakeside home in a Scandinavian aesthetic: light oak, whitewashed pine, gray stone, and matte black metal. Panoramic windows to the pine forest and water, a wood-burning stove/fireplace, soft textures (wool, bouclé), a whitewashed-oak island kitchen, a serene bedroom, and a spa suite with a sauna. Clean lines, natural light, and warm tactility.
Wabi‑Sabi Machiya
2022, Kyoto — Restoration of a traditional machiya townhouse in a wabi-sabi aesthetic: clay plaster, shou sugi ban (charred cedar), tatami, and shoji screens of washi paper, along with stone aggregate and blackened steel. Low furniture, soft diffused light, natural hues, and deliberate simplicity create a meditative, tactile interior.
Tropical Modern Villa
2023, Bali — Tropical modernism with a seamless indoor–outdoor flow: teak, rattan, linen, volcanic stone, and terrazzo; large sliding panels, ceiling fans, and lush pocket gardens. A soft palette of sand and leaf tones, abundant natural light, and water integrated into the interior (patio, plunge pool).
SoHo Industrial Loft
2022, New York — An industrial loft in a historic SoHo building: exposed brickwork, black steel window frames, open beams and ductwork, and reclaimed oak floors. An open stainless-steel kitchen with a rolling island, vintage rugs, and large-scale contemporary art. Warm, lively light and expressive material textures.
